On July 28, the deputies of the Province of Santa Fe, Argentina, Ruben Giustiniani and Agustina Donnet issued a statement expressing solidarity with the Armenian people in repudiation of the military operations carried out by the Army of Azerbaijan.

"We affirm the need for the international community to take swift action, calling on all parties to the conflict to resume the path of negotiations and dialogue," they said. Furthermore, they described the attacks by Azerbaijan as a "serious violation of the truce" and it was pointed out that the Azerbaijani authorities "ignore the call of the UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, for a global truce in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic." "We declare our solidarity with the people of Armenia who are victims of this unjustified military action by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces."

Ruben Giustiniani has been one of the signatories of the National Law 26,199 that commemorates every April 24 as the “Day of Action for Tolerance and Respect among peoples” in commemoration of the Armenian Genocide, backed by the Armenian National Committee of South America. In 2011 he was part of the Parliamentary Group of Friendship with Armenia as a National Senator and in 2019 he traveled as part of the South American delegation to the Republic of Artsakh to take part of the Pro Artsakh Forum: Cooperation for Justice and Peace.
